THE STRING PLAYERS
All the string players in Janiculum play both baroque and modern
instruments.
John Trusler was an Associated Board scholar at the Royal College of Music. He has been a member of the Amici Quartet and the English Quartet and for the last ten years the Delme Quartet. John plays with the Contemporary Music Group, the Composers Ensemble and the Terroni Piano Trio, and has appeared many times in the major London concert halls as a soloist with the London Bach Orchestra.
Graham Walker was a choral scholar at St. John's College Cambridge. Awarded a scholarship to The Royal Academy of Music he studied both baroque and modern cello. He now plays both instruments in chamber groups and orchestras, including Classico Latino and The British Camerata. He recently made his début tour of the USA with the pianist Christopher Whitton. In 2003 he was Emanuelle Haim's continuo cellist in a programme of music by Marc-Antoine Charpentier at the Aldeburgh Festival. In 1996 he won the UNICEF Young Conductors' platform.
Marilyn Sansom is one of the most experienced continuo players in Britain.
