THE WIND PLAYERS
The oboe players, Mark Radcliffe and James Eastaway, play both
baroque and classical instruments in leading chamber groups and
orchestras.
Mark Radcliffe studied at the Royal Academy of Music and Royal College of Music. He was a member of the European Union Baroque Orchestra, and has since performed worldwide, as well as making numerous recordings. He plays with leading period instrument orchestras, including Academy of Ancient Music, English Concert, English Baroque Soloists, Gabrieli Players and King's Consort. He can be heard as soloist with the Academy of Ancient Music on a recording for EMI of Bach Cantatas, and also on John Eliot Gardiner's Bach Cantata Pilgrimage with the English Baroque soloists. As a member of the Feinstein Ensemble, Mark often performs in concerts of chamber music at the South Bank Centre and St. Martin in the Fields in London, and he has given solo recitals at the Purcell Room, Leighton House and Spitatalfields Festival, as well as recital tours to Europe and the Far East. Mark also plays modern oboe and is principal oboe with English Touring Opera.
